Privacy Policy
Last updated 6 November 2026.
This policy covers blog.mikepenz.dev. The person responsible is Mike Penz, Linz, Austria (see the Terms & Legal Notice).
Short version: I do not track you. No analytics, no cookies, no advertising, no accounts, no comments, no fingerprinting, and no third-party scripts or fonts. I do not store IP addresses or any other data about visitors.
What I do not do
I do not run analytics or tracking of any kind.
I do not set cookies or write to your browser storage.
I do not log, store or look at visitor IP addresses.
I do not sell or share personal data. I have none.
What the infrastructure sees
Loading a page means your browser talks to the services that deliver it. They process technical data to do that, and I do not receive or store it.
Cloudflare serves this site as a CDN and runs the code that renders it. Like any web server, it processes your IP address, user agent, the requested URL and the time of the request, to deliver the page, keep it secure and operate the network. See the Cloudflare privacy policy.
Storyblok, the content system behind the blog, delivers the images in articles from its asset servers. Your browser requests them directly, so Storyblok sees the same technical data for those requests. See the Storyblok privacy policy.
Both act under their own terms and policies. The legal basis for this delivery is my legitimate interest in running a secure, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Links to other sites
The footer and the articles link to other sites such as GitHub and LinkedIn. Once you follow a link, that site's privacy policy applies, not this one.
Your rights
Because I hold no data about you, there is usually nothing to access, correct or delete. If you think I hold something, write to blog@mikepenz.dev. Where the GDPR applies you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and you may complain to the Austrian data protection authority (dsb.gv.at) or the authority where you live. For data held by Cloudflare or Storyblok you can also contact them directly.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
